My Marketing Department, Inc. began after hearing from companies that needed marketing assistance but did not have the time or want the added expense of another employee. MMD fills that void by using our extensive network of contacts and vendors across the country to negotiate the best price while receiving the best service and passing that along to our clients.
We are not CONSULTANTS! MMD is a full-service marketing company that WORKS for you. We do not suggest what you do then leave and let you do all the leg-work. Together we come up with a plan, whether it is one project or an entire campaign and MMD executes the tasks.
Our President & CEO, Allen Jernigan, began his career after college in the front office of Minor League Baseball, where he worked starting a new baseball team, before they even had a stadium to play in. Under the tutelage of one of the best marketers in baseball, Bill Shanahan, Allen learned how to successfully hit an area with a new product and get the most impact and longevity. ( www.mobilebaybears.com ) During those years, Allen worked on marketing for the team and special events including directing the two All-Star Games, San Diego Padres Exhibition Games and the annual Mark Harmon Celebrity Game.
Next he moved to Tampa Bay and became the Director of Promotions and Special Events for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Allen worked with numerous local and Major League Baseball Sponsors on events and oversaw the game events at Tropicana Field, while negotiating radio sponsorships and managing email campaigns for the team.
After seven years in baseball, Allen landed with one of the Devil Rays sponsors, SunTrust Bank. As Assistant VP of Marketing, he served as a member of the Executive team and oversaw the marketing of 110 bank branches in the Tampa Bay Region. Working closely with CEO, Dan Mahurin, Allen oversaw and implemented regional marketing initiatives, campaigns, direct mail and events, which increased sales and exposure for the bank.
Allen left SunTrust to pursue a venture with Home Discovery Corporation to lead their marketing efforts. As a member of the Senior Management Team, he created and executed marketing campaigns for Title, Mortgage, Insurance and Home Services companies owned by Home Discovery. Allen directed and executed a multi-million dollar advertising budget through television, radio, billboards, Internet, email, print & direct mail.
Allen began My Marketing Department, Inc. so others can use the experience and contacts he has made over the years. Allen and MMD work for you and DO NOT take “Kickbacks” or commissions from the vendors they contract with. They pass all the savings on to you.
